Since 1968, when a dedicated group of parents had the vision to become ”committed
to providing quality education in a Montessori setting, encouraging students to develop
their potential as self-directed learners and as active, caring, contributing members
of society,” the Amarillo Montessori Academy, (originally known as Wee Wisdom
Montessori School,) has pursued presenting the Montessori method of education to the Texas
panhandle. In our current locations at 3806 and 3807 S. Bowie, our certified Montessori
teachers are serving the families of one hundred and fifteen students ranging in age from
three months through the fifth grade. We serve 115 students ranging in age from six weeks through kindergarten.
We invite you to peruse our website to learn more about our school. Drop in visitors are
always welcome at the Academy; however, we ask that you make an appointment if you want to
visit with our director or tour the school after 3:30 pm.
